Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a sister city relationship between the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku and Abu Dhabi has been signed. The document was inked as part of the visit of a UAE delegation, led by Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport of Abu Dhabi, to Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the agreement aims to promote cooperation and strengthen ties between the two cities. This initiative is expected to facilitate mutual exchange in various sectors including culture, economy, and municipal governance.
The signing ceremony took place during the official visit of the UAE delegation, highlighting the commitment to fostering closer relationships and collaborative efforts between the two regions. The MoU will also pave the way for potential future engagements and projects between Baku and Abu Dhabi.
