Baku: As part of the International Carpet Festival held in Icherisheher on May 2-3, 2026, ‘AzerGold’ CJSC was represented with an exhibition stand designed in a carpet-weaving concept. At the festival, organized with the support of ‘Azerkhalcha’ OJSC, the ‘Icherisheher’ State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, the Ministry of Economy, and AZPROMO, the state company’s collections consisting of 13 types of gold and 5 types of silver coins, as well as investment products, were presented.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ‘AzerGold’ stand displayed gold and silver products incorporating carpet-weaving elements. Gold and silver coins featuring Azerbaijan’s historical figures, national and spiritual values, and various thematic designs were also showcased.
A collaboration between ‘AzerGold’ and ‘Azerkhalcha’ offered visitors a unique visual experience titled ‘The Harmony of Silk and Silver.’ The ‘Rare Fauna Species’ collection-new-generation silver coins created using ‘Smartminting’ (high-relief minting technology) and dedicated to endangered fauna species-along with carpet interpretations of this collection, drew great interest from the audience. Local and foreign guests were provided with detailed information about the rare fauna species included in the ‘Red Book’ of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, specifically the gazelle, leopard, and bezoar goat.
The stand also featured an interactive demonstration of the cutting process for the ‘Leopard’ carpet, further engaging festival participants.
