AzerGold Launches Scholarship Programme for Future Mining Professionals

Baku: AzerGold CJSC has unveiled its latest Scholarship Programme competition aimed at supporting university students pursuing studies in the mining sector, as announced by AzerGold to APA-Economics. This initiative is set to bolster the availability of qualified professionals for the Company’s strategic projects by providing financial support to students.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the scholarship is open to Azerbaijani citizens who are full-time final-year bachelor’s or master’s students in mining engineering, geology, chemical engineering, or metallurgy during the 2026-2027 academic year. The selection process for the scholarship comprises two stages: a written test followed by an interview. The top 20 candidates from the test will advance to the interview stage.

In the interview stage, candidates will be evaluated based on specific criteria to assess their preparation levels. Ultimately, 10 students who excel in the competition will gain admission to the Scholarship Programme, receiving a certificate of recognition and a monthly scholarship of 200 AZN throughout the academic year.

Participants in the Scholarship Programme will also have the chance to engage in internship programmes at AzerGold. Moreover, upon graduation, they may be considered for employment in relevant positions, provided they meet the necessary requirements.

Prospective applicants can find detailed information about the Scholarship Programme and competition requirements on AzerGold CJSC’s official website, particularly within the ‘Scholarship Programme’ subsection under the ‘Career’ section. The application process begins upon the announcement’s publication, with a submission deadline set for 16 September 2026.
