Baku: The price of an ounce of gold in Azerbaijan experienced a decline of 261.8 manat ($154), or 3.6 percent, as the week concluded, according to Trend News Agency. The weighted average cost of an ounce of gold decreased by 25.6 manat ($15), or 0.3 percent, from the previous week’s figure, totaling 7,119 manat ($4,185).
According to Trend News Agency, the week saw fluctuations in the gold market with the value of an ounce of gold changing daily. On October 13, the price was 6,894 manat ($4,053) and by October 17, it had risen to 7,442 manat ($4,375). However, by October 24, the price had decreased to 6,989 manat ($4,108).
In contrast, the price of an ounce of silver in Azerbaijan increased this week, with a decrease of 6.07 manat, or $3.56, marking a 6.8 percent increase. The weighted average cost of an ounce of silver was 85 manat ($49.9), down 4.83 manat ($2.83), or 5.4 percent, compared to last week’s figure. The value of silver also saw daily changes, beginning at 87.5 manat ($51.4) on October 13 and dropping to 82.5 manat ($48.5) by October 24.
Platinum prices in Azerbaijan increased by 48.2 manat ($28.3), or 1.8 percent, over the week. The weighted average cost of an ounce of platinum was 2,720 manat ($1,599), showing an increase of 117.4 manat ($69), or 4.1 percent, compared to the previous week. The price changes over the week included a high of 2,916 manat ($1,714) on October 17 and a low of 2,608 manat ($1,533) on October 22.
Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of palladium fell by 78.8 manat ($46.3), or 3.1 percent, during the week. The weighted average price of an ounce of palladium stood at 2,472 manat ($1,453), which is 130.8 manat ($76.8), or 5 percent, higher than the previous week. The value of palladium varied over the week, reaching a high of 2,759 manat ($1,622) on October 17 and a low of 2,419 manat ($1,422) on October 22.
