Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in Istanbul.
The document was inked by KOBIA Chairman of Board Orkhan Mammadov and the SMIIC Secretary General Ihsan Övt.
The memorandum envisages the promotion of cooperation in the field of trade and investment, the exchange of information and support regarding the available opportunities in these areas, as well as various events, exhibitions and fairs.
The sides discussed the issues arising from the relevant Memorandum of Understanding and the opportunities for cooperation.
During the meeting, Orkhan Mammadov informed about the Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum, which is planned to be held in Baku in 2024, and invited SMIIC to actively participate in the event.
