Baku: Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov met with Munther Ibrahim Hussein, President of the Federal Supreme Court of the Republic of Iraq, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting underscored the solidarity between Azerbaijan and Iraq in international institutions, highlighting how mutual visits and meetings are instrumental in fostering bilateral cooperation. Ahmadov emphasized the shared historical and spiritual connections between the two nations, suggesting that this visit could further enhance relations, particularly in legal cooperation. He also pointed out the potential for expanding legal relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq.
Munther Ibrahim Hussein expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that such visits are crucial for enhancing cooperation in the judicial sector. He highlighted the progress in the legal field and the importance of these interactions for learning from each other’s experiences.
During the meeting, both parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest, aiming to strengthen ties between the countries.
