BAKU: Trkiye’s greatest holiday, Republic Day, has been celebrated in Baku today, Trend reports.
According to the information, the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center was attended by representatives of the state and government of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, deputies, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and other guests.
The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Trkiye were performed at the beginning of the event.
Then, a video message by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was brought to the attention of the participants.
Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagci talked about the history of the country’s independence.
The diplomat talked of the development of brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye.
He noted that the two countries have brotherly ties that have no analog in the world. The ambassador noted that, as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, Trkiye will always be close to brotherly Azerbaijan.

Afterward, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova delivered a speech and conveyed the congratulations of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
She emphasized Trkiye’s confident development and the country’s forward movement.
