Jalilabad:A court in Azerbaijan has sentenced a serviceman from the Ministry of Defense, identified as N.A., to seven years in prison for attempting to join a criminal organization abroad. The Jalilabad Military Court found N.A. guilty of establishing a criminal organization and committing other crimes, following a detailed hearing.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, N.A. was proven to have attempted to establish contact with members of a foreign criminal organization through social media. This organization was reportedly involved in armed attacks, murders, robberies, and armed robberies. N.A. had been corresponding with several members and expressed his intention to join them in person.
The court heard that N.A. had taken weapons and ammunition from his military unit and fired shots into the air to test his weapon. He then attempted to meet members of the criminal organization, firing shots again during their conversation.
