Baku: Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov recently held a meeting with Denis Afanasyev, the Vice-Governor and Chairman of the Government of Russia’s Astrakhan region. The meeting underscored the robust cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation’s regions, particularly focusing on the Astrakhan region.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions highlighted the positive growth in economic, trade, and investment relations between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region. Both officials emphasized the ongoing expansion in fields such as transport, logistics, culture, humanitarian affairs, and education.
A significant point of discussion was the Astrakhan region’s initiative to construct a preschool educational institution in Azerbaijan’s liberated Gubadli district. This project represents a concrete step in strengthening educational ties between the two regions.
Furthermore, the meeting explored avenues for further enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aiming to solidify the partnership between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region.
