Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva have expressed condolences to Vaira Vike-Freiberga, the former President of Latvia and co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, following the passing of her husband, Imants Freibergs.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in a letter addressed to Vike-Freiberga, President Aliyev and Vice-President Aliyeva conveyed their sorrow upon hearing the news of Freibergs’ death. They acknowledged Freibergs’ support and partnership with Vike-Freiberga throughout their life together. The message emphasized their shared grief over the loss and extended their deepest condolences, wishing patience to her and her family.
