Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev asserted a resolute stance on the permanence of Azerbaijan’s presence in the reclaimed territories during a meeting with residents of Khanyurdu, Khojaly. “Throughout these thirty years, you demonstrated willpower and believed that this historic day would come, and that we would return to these lands – and we have,” President Aliyev stated, addressing the gathered crowd.
According to Azeri-Press news Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of both the Patriotic War of 2020 and the anti-terror operation of 2023 as pivotal victories for Azerbaijan. He expressed his gratitude and respect for those who sacrificed their lives, saying, “May Allah rest the souls of all our martyrs in peace.” Emphasizing the commitment to the land, he declared, “From now on, we will live here forever. No one can ever drive us out of these lands again.”
