BAKU: Elchin Mirzabeyli, deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Justice, Law, Democracy Party and candidate for the parliamentary seat from Aghsu constituency No. 90, met with voters in Gagali village and Aghsu City Park of Culture and Recreation, Trend reports.

At the Gagali village meeting, Mirzabeyli emphasized that, for the first time since gaining independence, Azerbaijan is holding the parliamentary election as a fully sovereign nation with complete territorial integrity, underscoring the moral and political significance of this milestone.

He expressed deep gratitude to those who contributed to this historic victory, noting that the restoration of the country’s sovereignty has created new conditions that require everyone to align their work with the spirit of this great achievement.

The candidate reminded the voters that six Gagali residents once served in the Islamic Army of the Caucasus and later in the army of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918-20. He highlighted how Safar Gagali, a resident o
f the village, crushed Armenian gangs at the beginning of the last century, who were massively killing and robbing civilians in Azerbaijan, and how the other villagers demonstrated similar heroism in the First and Second Karabakh Wars, ultimately defeating Armenian terrorists.

Mirzabeyli then informed Gagali residents about his initiatives in the economy, agriculture, science, education, culture, and social spheres, which he plans to pursue if elected. He also addressed numerous questions from the villagers, discussing solutions to their concerns.

The next meeting took place at Aghsu City Park of Culture and Recreation, where Mirzabeyli presented his electoral platform and answered voter questions.

To note, on June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and scheduling a snap election for September 1.
