Azerbaijani Oil Price Surges Above $115 Amid Recent Increase

Baku: The price of Azeri Light crude oil increased by $2.54, or 2.24 percent, reaching $115.55 per barrel on Friday.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this marks a significant rise in the oil price, reflecting the ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market. The Azeri Light crude oil’s price has experienced considerable variations over the years, with its lowest recorded price at $15.81 per barrel on April 21, 2020, during the height of the global pandemic. In contrast, its highest price was observed in July 2008, when it soared to $149.66 per barrel.

The recent rise in price could have implications for Azerbaijan’s economy, which is heavily reliant on oil exports. As the market continues to evolve, stakeholders are closely monitoring these price changes and their potential impact on the country’s economic landscape.
