Istanbul: A monument erected in Heydar Aliyev Park was visited in connection with the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, APA’s Trkiye bureau reports. Narmina Mustafayeva, the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, participated in the commemorative event alongside the Mayor of Sariyer, Mustafa Oktay Aksu, employees of the Sariyer Municipality, and other individuals.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation also included representatives from Azerbaijan’s state institutions in Trkiye. The event served as a moment of tribute to both Azerbaijani and Turkish historical figures. Participants laid flowers at the monument of Heydar Aliyev and also visited the bust of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Trkiye, which is located nearby.
The visit reflects the ongoing cultural and historical ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as both countries continue to honor the legacy of their national leaders. The event underscored the significance of preserving and celebrating shared histories and values.
