Hajiyev, competing in the 90 kg weight category, faced French opponent Ngajap Hambu and was defeated in the 1/8 finals.

Hajiyev, competing in the 90 kg weight category, defeated Turkish representative Michael Zganclay in the 1/16 finals.
The Olympics will end on August 11.
