Melbourne:The tuition fees of Azerbaijani filmmaker Afaq Yusifli, who is pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Melbourne, have been fully paid.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the remaining balance was transferred to the University of Melbourne by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency under the ministry.
Afaq Yusifli is enrolled in the Master of Producing program, focusing on fiction and documentary films. The payment issue had been under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency.
Part of Yusifli’s tuition fees was initially covered through the Ministry of Culture’s special scholarship program for cultural and creative industries. The ministry confirmed that it had met its commitments under this program, although a delay from another party in transferring its share had caused the initial payment issue.
