Baku: Azerbaijani female boxers have concluded their participation in the III CIS Games with a total of nine medals, following the final boxing bouts held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Guler Huseynova, competing in the 48 kg category, emerged victorious against Russian boxer Darya Gavrina, claiming the gold medal. Meanwhile, five Azerbaijani boxers, Aysel Farajova (46 kg), Amina Taghi (50 kg), Jamila Muradli (54 kg), Aynur Ismayilova (60 kg), and Fidan Bakarova (63 kg), finished in second place after losing their final matches.
Additionally, bronze medals were secured by Aylin Nazarova (46 kg), Zahra Mammadova (52 kg), and Mirrugeyya Azerpur (57 kg), contributing to the team’s impressive medal tally.
In total, Azerbaijani female boxers achieved 1 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the tournament. The boxing competitions are set to conclude on October 5.
