Stockholm: An event celebrating the 180th anniversary of Abai Qunanbaiuly, a renowned Kazakh poet, philosopher, and public educator, took place in Stockholm. The gathering highlighted Abai’s significant contributions as the founder of written Kazakh literature.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event was organized by the Kazakh diaspora in Sweden and featured Kanat Tassibekov, a notable guest from Kazakhstan and author of the ‘Situational Kazakh Language’ teaching method. The evening included contests, and participants who excelled were awarded prizes.

The event saw the participation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan staff in Sweden, along with representatives from Turkic-speaking diasporas, including those from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Uyghur community, and others.
