Azerbaijani Deputy Minister: We should pay special attention to increasing climate literacy of youth


‘The number of students enrolled in ecology-related specialties, mainly ecological engineering, climate protection, and forestry, has increased this year,’ said the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Idris Isayev during his speech on the 5th day of the Baku Climate Action Week, APA reports.

He also said that relevant changes should be made to educational programs:

‘If we want to increase the climate literacy of youth, we must pay special attention to improving their skills in this direction. Through these skills, we can better use renewable energy sources and manage waste,’ the deputy minister added.
