“I’ve lived in captivity for 1 year and 8 months during First Karabakh War. I’ve spent 8 months of captivity in Khankendi. After that, I was brought to Shusha. We’ve seen unbelievable tortures in Shusha prison”, said Javid Huseynov, who was under Armenian captivity in Shusha prison, APA reports.
He noted that Armenians inflicted unprecedented and unseen tortures on Azerbaijani captives: “They gouged my eyes out on March 21st of 1995. They lined us up in the cell at night. They beat all of us up, tied my hands, raised my head up after beating me with a bat, and asked me, is Garabagh ours, or yours? I said, ours! They hit my eye with the bat. In the morning they saw that my eye was infected, and I’m in a bad situation, they took me to the prison warden. The warden took the knife out of his pocket, gouged my eye out of its socket, and threw it on the ground. He told me, if asked, you will say that you have fallen in the forest and hit the wood.”
