Azerbaijani arm wrestlers delivered an outstanding performance at the IFA World Championships held in Loutraki, Greece, helping the country achieve a record medal haul of 18, including eight gold, eight silver and two bronze medals.
Azer Maharramov (master, +105kg), Rashad Guluzade (U-21, 78kg), Ismayil Mustafayev (U-21, 70kg), Rashad Guluzade (senior, 78kg), Togrul Shahlarli (senior, 78kg), Ismayil Mustafayev (senior, 70kg), Nijat Muzaffarov (U-18, 63kg) and Ismayil Mustafayev (senior, 70kg) stood atop the podium, winning the gold medals.
