Baku: The ‘Indestructible Partnership-2025’ joint special forces exercise is currently underway in Azerbaijan, involving the Special Forces of the Azerbaijan Army and the units of Special Operations Command of the Presidential Guard of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This exercise is part of a bilateral cooperation plan between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the opening ceremony, held on October 21, was marked by a minute of silence to honor the Shehids of Azerbaijan and the UAE. The event featured performances of the national anthems of both countries by a military orchestra, and the state flags were ceremoniously raised.

During the ceremony, Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, Commander of Azerbaijan Special Forces, emphasized that the main objectives of the exercise include strengthening cooperation between the special forces, enhancing practical abilities, sharing experiences, and fostering professional development among servicemen.

The exercise aims to practically develop participants’ coordination and management skills in scenarios replicating real combat conditions. Tactical activities are designed to improve participants’ maneuverability, agility, and leadership skills, drawing on the expertise of special forces from both countries.

The conditions provided for the exercise were reviewed, ensuring participants have the necessary resources to execute the tasks. The ‘Indestructible Partnership-2025’ exercise includes the use of armored vehicles, army aviation, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Participants will undertake combat-training tasks that cover combat tactics, shooting, airborne landing, sniper activities, neutralization of enemy targets, and clearing settlements from enemy forces.
