Baku:Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently met with George Zakarashvili, the ambassador-designate of Georgia to Azerbaijan, to discuss the normalization process with Armenia and other regional matters.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting included discussions on the Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership, highlighting collaboration in trade, the economy, energy security, and transport and communications projects. The officials emphasized the importance of mutual support within international organizations to ensure regional stability and development.
The discussions also underscored the significance of joint energy and transport projects, such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, the Southern Gas Corridor, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The Middle Corridor and green energy initiatives, including the Black Sea submarine electric cable, were also highlighted as key areas of cooperation.
Minister Bayramov provided detailed information to Ambassador Zakarashvili about the post-conflict regional realities, Azerbaijan’s restoration projects in liberated territories, and the ongoing peace and reconciliation efforts with Armenia. Ambassador Zakarashvili expressed his commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan during his tenure.
