Azerbaijan Unearths Ancient Burial Monuments in Yardimli


Yardimli: A joint Azerbaijani-American archaeological expedition in the Yardimli district has yielded significant findings, APA reports. Archaeological excavations at the ancient settlement site of Bileh, located in the Urakeran village, have led to the discovery of stone cist, jar, and earth grave monuments.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the excavations are being conducted under the leadership of PhD in History, Jeyhun Eminli, a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The collaborative effort involves an Azerbaijani-American joint expedition, with participation from Lara Fabian, a member of the expedition from the United States, who described the findings as magnificent.
