Baku: The Azerbaijani Parliament, known as the Milli Majlis, has ratified a significant agreement aimed at strengthening military security between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. The agreement, titled the ‘Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Trkiye on strengthening mutual military security,’ marks a pivotal step in defense collaboration between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this memorandum was a key point of discussion at the parliament’s meeting on December 16. The document, which lays the framework for enhanced military cooperation, was originally signed in Istanbul on July 22, 2025. This ratification signifies a commitment by both countries to bolster their defense strategies and ensure regional security.
