Azerbaijan to Modernize Main Water Pipelines in Baku by 2035

Baku: Main water pipelines that are no longer operational in Baku will be renewed, APA reports. This is reflected in the ‘State Program for 2026-2035 on improving water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems in the city of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula,’ approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in 2026-2035, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, together with the Ministry of Economy, the Baku City Executive Authority, and the ‘Azerbaijan State Agency of Automobile Roads’ public legal entity, should complete the major repair works of 110 km of main pipelines.

The program aims to improve the infrastructure related to water supply and management in Baku and its surrounding regions. The collaboration between various government agencies highlights a coordinated effort to enhance the quality and reliability of essential services.
