Baku: On 4 April, Baku is set to host the 11th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council along with the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 24 countries, including Azerbaijan and the European Union, are expected to participate. The meeting will also see the involvement of 7 international financial institutions and 42 energy companies.
Ministers, deputy ministers, and other high-level representatives will take part in the event. The opening session will be followed by several key sessions, including the Ministerial Session, Southern Gas Corridor Session, and Green Energy Projects and Corridors Plenary Session.
The event will also feature the 2nd Ministerial Meeting on the Green Electricity Transmission and Trade Project between Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Georgia, and Bulgaria. An Informal Steering Committee/Ministerial Meeting on the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor and an EU-Azerbaijan Roundtable Meeting on Offshore Wind Power Development are also on the agenda.
During the meetings, documents related to green energy are expected to be signed. A press conference will conclude the events, focusing on the outcomes of the meetings. The Ministerial Meeting within the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council has been an annual event since February 2015.
