Azerbaijan to Host Formula 1 Races in September 2025

BAKU: Azerbaijan is set to host Formula 1 races from September 19 to 21 in 2025, as confirmed by the F1 website, APA reports. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be the 17th race in the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar, which includes 24 rounds as the championship celebrates its 75th anniversary.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the 2025 season will commence with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14 to 16 and conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the weekend of December 5 to 7. This season’s schedule will see the paddock visit five of the world’s seven continents, maintaining a global presence.

In consideration of Ramadan, which falls in March 2025, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix have been rescheduled for April. The traditional summer break will remain in August, with a pause between the Hungarian Grand Prix at Hungaroring and the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.

Adjustments made to the 2024 calendar to improve the geographical flow of races will continue into 2025, with Japan following Australia and China in April. The European races will dominate the summer months, while the Americas will host races in the autumn, leading up to the concluding events in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

The 2025 season will feature six Sprint events, taking place in Shanghai, Miami, Spa, Austin, Sao Paulo, and Qatar. Pre-season testing is scheduled to occur in Bahrain from February 26 to 28, setting the stage for another thrilling year of racing.
