Baku: The construction of the Horadiz-Aghband highway and railway is scheduled to be completed within the next year, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev during a trilateral meeting of government representatives from Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran held in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this significant transport infrastructure will create a new branch of the East-West and North-South international transport corridors. It will also serve as a new route connecting the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea.
Shahin Mustafayev further highlighted the importance of the Middle Corridor, noting that since 2022, the volume of cargo transportation through this corridor has increased by approximately 90 percent, while transit times have significantly decreased.
