Azerbaijan to Establish State Support for Authorized Economic Operators by 2028

Baku: Azerbaijan is set to implement a state support mechanism for individuals and entities attaining Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status between 2026 and 2028. This initiative forms a part of the ‘Reliable Partnership Concept’ action plan, which recently received approval from President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the plan outlines improvements to the regulatory and legal framework concerning AEOs, with a focus on aligning with international standards. Individuals who achieve AEO status will receive prioritization in service provision from government bodies, enhancing their operational efficiency and integration into the global economic network.

The Cabinet of Ministers will lead the execution of this mechanism, supported by co-executors including the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Finance, and the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, among other state institutions. This collaborative approach aims to establish a robust and effective support system for economic operators within Azerbaijan’s borders.
