Azerbaijan Showcases Tourism Opportunities at World Urban Forum

Baku: Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities are being showcased at the Azerbaijan Pavilion in the ‘Urban Expo’ exhibition organized by the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board as part of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), held in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, visitors to the exhibition are provided with detailed information about the country’s cultural tourism, gastronomic tourism, winter tourism, and ecotourism. The display also highlights the tourism potential of Garabagh and East Zangezur, as well as the opportunities along the Victory Road.

At the national stand, visitors can explore various tourist destinations in Azerbaijan using virtual reality (VR) technology. Master classes conducted by a network master introduce participants to the art of Azerbaijani netting (s?b?k?).

Information sessions on Azerbaijan’s tea culture are held, accompanied by tea served with national sweets. Presentation sessions dedicated to birdwatching tourism are also organized, showcasing Azerbaijan’s ecological diversity and national parks. Informative sessions on tourism will continue throughout the event.
