Beijing:The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX 2026) has commenced in Beijing, marking an important event for global business tourism. Azerbaijan’s participation, led by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board alongside three national tourism companies and Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), aims to highlight the country’s tourism potential and explore cooperative opportunities with the Chinese market.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, CIMX 2026 is a platform dedicated to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry. It is bringing together tourism authorities, professional buyers, event organizers, tourism companies, and aviation sector representatives from various countries.
Azerbaijan’s delegation seeks to bolster the nation’s reputation as a premier international MICE destination. Their objectives include forging new partnerships within the Chinese tourism market and enhancing business ties between the tourism sectors of Azerbaijan and China.
During the exhibition, Azerbaijan is promoting its rich historical and cultural heritage, modern tourism infrastructure, including high-class hotels and event venues, as well as extensive options for corporate and incentive travel. The Azerbaijan Tourism Board and its partners are engaging with Chinese market representatives in a B2B format to discuss the development of new tourism products, attracting corporate groups, organizing international events, and exploring long-term cooperation opportunities.
