Azerbaijan Sees Over 7% Rise in Commercial Associated Gas Production


Baku: Production of commercial associated gas in Azerbaijan experienced a notable increase exceeding 7% during the first nine months of the year. In the period from January to September, oil fields in Azerbaijan produced 11,127.88 million cubic meters of associated gas, marking a 0.68% rise compared to the same period last year, as reported by the State Statistical Committee to APA-Economics.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, out of the total associated gas produced, 2,952.05 million cubic meters were categorized as commercial products. This figure represents a 7.4% increase on an annual basis. The data highlights the growing capacity and efficiency of Azerbaijan’s oil fields in harnessing associated gas for commercial purposes.



In a retrospective view, the year 2024 saw a production of 15,112.09 million cubic meters of associated gas, reflecting a 0.2% increase from the previous year. The continuous growth in production underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing its energy sector and optimizing the utilization of its natural resources.
