Baku: Azerbaijan has recorded an increase in the production of commercial associated gas in the first half of the year.
According to Azeri-Press news Agency, 7,386.83 million cubic meters of associated gas were produced from Azerbaijan’s oil fields from January to June, marking a slight decrease of 0.77% compared to the previous year.
During the same period, 2,064.72 million cubic meters of this associated gas were classified as commodity products, representing a 12.9% increase in annual terms. This indicates a significant growth in the commercialization of associated gas despite the overall slight decrease in production volume.
It is noteworthy that in 2024, Azerbaijan produced 15,112.09 million cubic meters of associated gas from its oil fields, showing a marginal increase of 0.2% from the prior year. This data underscores the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance its associated gas production capabilities.
