Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that the country’s non-oil industry experienced an approximately 8 percent increase in January of this year. During a meeting focused on Azerbaijan’s New Digital Architecture, Aliyev highlighted the nation’s self-sufficiency in key energy sources and its capability to export these resources to global markets.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the potential for further growth in Azerbaijan’s energy generation capacity, driven by contracts for renewable energy projects. He noted that the country’s plans for industrial development, particularly in the non-oil sector, align with this increased capacity. Aliyev stressed the importance of matching energy capacity with the country’s overall development, taking into account the rising domestic demand for electricity due to population growth and industrial expansion.
