Baku: “For Chinese tourists, Azerbaijan is a gateway to the Caucasus,” stated Fei Xin, head of the Chinese tourism company “Suzhou Chine,” in a statement to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fei Xin noted that Chinese tourists are eager to explore new countries, and Azerbaijan offers an attractive destination with its rich history, culture, and seaside landscapes. He mentioned that Chinese travelers often view Azerbaijan as a starting point for further exploration of the Caucasus region, including Georgia and Armenia.
Fei Xin suggested that increasing promotional efforts in China through more presentations and road shows could significantly boost tourism flows to Azerbaijan. He predicted that the number of Chinese tourists could realistically double next year and continue to grow at an even faster pace in subsequent years.
Moreover, Fei Xin highlighted the role of the “China Visitors Summit” in fostering cooperation between Chinese and Azerbaijani tourism companies.
