Azerbaijan Seeks UK Involvement in Green Energy Projects


Baku:Azerbaijan has extended an invitation to the United Kingdom to join its green energy corridor and connectivity projects, as announced by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission.



According to Azeri-Press news agency, the minister emphasized the growing strategic importance of electricity grids and regional connectivity. Azerbaijan is currently working on significant green energy corridor projects aimed at linking the Caspian region and Central Asia with Europe.



Minister Shahbazov highlighted that one of the routes under development seeks to connect to other markets through Nakhchivan and Türkiye via TRIPP. He encouraged UK partners to engage in these and additional green energy initiatives.



The minister also mentioned the involvement of the British company Xlinks, noting that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Green Corridor Alliance has opened up new avenues for collaboration.
