Azerbaijan Reports Over USD 60 Million in Fruit and Vegetable Exports for January 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan achieved significant revenue from fruit and vegetable exports in January 2025, with earnings surpassing USD 60 million. In total, the country exported 58,072.5 tons of fruits and vegetables, generating USD 60 million 487.7 thousand, as reported by APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, there was a notable increase compared to January 2024. The value of exported fruits and vegetables rose by 10.8%, equating to an additional USD 5.9 million, while the volume saw a 17% increase, adding 8,466 tons. In January of the previous year, Azerbaijan exported 49,606 tons worth USD 54 million 611 thousand.

Fruits and vegetables accounted for 1.99% of Azerbaijan’s total exports and 24.61% of non-oil exports for the past month. Notable exports included tomatoes valued at USD 14 million 714 thousand (13,040 tons), forest hazelnuts at USD 14 million 45.4 thousand (2,024 tons), dates at USD 19 million 292 thousand (26,113 tons), apples at USD 6 million 858 thousand (10,705 tons), pomegranates at USD 2 million 14 thousand (2,278 tons), and potatoes at USD 33.9 thousand (113 tons).

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported a total of 686,254 tons of fruits and vegetables, generating revenue of USD 707 million 795 thousand.
