Baku: Azerbaijan has released 5,348 individuals from imprisonment under a newly enacted amnesty act. This development was confirmed by the Ministry of Justice in a statement, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amnesty act has also resulted in the reduction of the remaining term of imprisonment for an additional 3,555 convicted persons by six months.
