Azerbaijan Participates in Egypt International Energy Conference

Cairo: The ninth edition of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2026) commenced on Monday in Cairo, under the patronage of Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic of Egypt. The event is scheduled to continue until April 1 and is recognized as the foremost platform for the energy sector in North Africa and the Mediterranean.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conference features significant participation, with more than 500 exhibiting companies and 350 international speakers from various governments, organizations, and major energy companies. The event also hosts 51 national and international energy companies and 13 country pavilions.

Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation led by Vitaliy Baylarbayov, Deputy Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The conference is held under the theme “Transforming Energy through Collaboration, Action, and Realism.” It aims to enhance Egypt’s role as a regional energy hub, attract new investments to increase domestic production rates, promote opportunities for cooperation and investment partnerships, and support efforts in developing energy resources and maximizing the use of Egypt’s existing infrastructure.
