Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully relocated its first resettlement convoy to the village of Dashbulag in the Khojaly district. On September 13, families reached their new homes, marking a significant step in the country’s resettlement efforts.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly announced that 13 families, comprising a total of 67 individuals, were handed keys to newly constructed homes. These homes have been built following modern standards to ensure comfort and sustainability for the returning residents.
Sabuhi Gahramanov, the Deputy of the Special Representative of the President in the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, addressed the families upon their arrival. He assured them that essential infrastructure, such as drinking water, electricity, gas lines, roads, and social facilities, has already been established in the village to facilitate a smooth transition for the new residents.
The families expressed their appreciation for the efforts made to resettle them and the resources provided for their new beginning. This relocation is part of the broader Great Return plan, which aims to restore and repopulate areas affected by past conflicts.
The families moving to Dashbulag had previously been living in temporary accommodations across the country, including dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. The successful resettlement marks a positive development in Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to restore stability and normalcy in the region.
