Baku: There is no state standard for internet modems imported to Azerbaijan, said Rashad Hasanov, an employee of the Information and Communication Technologies Agency, at a training session on the ‘level of readiness of the regulatory framework in the field of Internet telecommunications services’.
According to Azeri-Press news Agency, Hasanov stated, “We encourage the import of 5 GHz modems. We are trying to abandon 2.4 GHz modems. We are negotiating with the State Customs Committee so that 2.4 GHz modems are not allowed into the country.”
