Azerbaijan has 502 million manats of problem loans

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has published a statistical bulletin on the results of the first half of 2023. The document says that as of the end of June, the amount of overdue loans in Azerbaijan made up 502.3 million manats. This is up by 2.5% from the end of May. The amount of problem loans in the country dropped by 15.4% as compared to the end of the last year, and by 24% over the past year. As of the beginning of July this year, a share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio amounted to 2.3%. This index was also 2.3% at the beginning of June, 2.9% at the beginning of January and 3.5% at the beginning of July last year.
