Azerbaijan Expects AZN 900 Million in Dividends from State-Owned Enterprises

Baku:Azerbaijan’s 2027 state budget includes plans for approximately AZN 900 million in dividend revenues from over 40 state-owned enterprises, as announced by Finance Minister Sahil Babayev at the “Digital Financial Ecosystem A New Stage in Governance” conference held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the minister highlighted that, following the President’s directives, a special reporting portal has been established to oversee the activities of state-owned companies and enhance dividend policy. The portal has registered 1,113 enterprises, which have submitted a total of 11,434 reports. Consequently, the approved budget reports for 950 state-owned companies for 2026 were obtained, and dividend forecasts for 885 enterprises have been completed.

Sahil Babayev noted that the analyses conducted have led to the inclusion of dividend payments from more than 40 enterprises in the state budget for the first time. He emphasized that dividend payments of approximately AZN 900 million are planned for next year’s state budget. This reflects both the achievements in recent years in managing state-owned companies and a novel approach to public financial policy.
