Baku:Companies in Azerbaijan that specialize in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, and ICT training and consulting are now eligible to register as technopark residents and take advantage of associated incentives. This announcement was made by Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), during a media briefing focused on legislative amendments in the technology and innovation sectors.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the scope of activities eligible for technopark residency has been significantly broadened. Previously, only ICT companies involved primarily in system integration and software development could register. Now, the inclusion of services related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and ICT training and consulting marks a major expansion.
Osmanov explained that the concept of a technopark does not require registration to be linked to a specific physical location. This means that ICT companies operating in various regions across Azerbaijan can digitally register and acquire technopark resident status, facilitating broader access to the incentives offered.
