Azerbaijan Expands Tax Benefits for Families of Fallen Deminers

Baku:Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has revised the criteria for tax benefit eligibility, extending it to families of deminers who have died due to explosive ordnance incidents, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this amendment adds parents, widows or widowers, and children of deceased deminers to the list of those eligible for tax benefits when calculating tax withheld from wages. The decision is specifically aimed at those affected by accidents during demining activities or those who succumbed to related injuries.

To qualify for these benefits, families must provide several certificates. These include a certificate from the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), a certificate from the local State Social Protection Fund or a DOST center, and certificates from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
