Baku: The powers of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan have been extended, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this extension of authority was formalized through amendments to the ‘Regulations on the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan,’ following a Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev. The expanded powers enable the Minister to oversee the distribution of funds from both the state budget and extra-budgetary sources. Additionally, the Minister is tasked with ensuring that allowances, financial assistance, and bonuses are provided to ministry employees, all within the constraints of the allocated funds.
The Minister is also responsible for making proposals on the formation of the state budget and extra-budgetary funds for the upcoming year, specifically in areas relevant to the ministry’s activities. This move aims to enhance the operational efficiency and financial management within the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
