Azerbaijan Expands Gas Export Network to 16 Countries

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced an expansion in the country’s gas export network, highlighting growth in both volume and geographical reach. In an interview with local television channels, President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has been supplying gas to 14 countries, with 11 receiving regular deliveries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President detailed that some countries had intermittently received gas from Azerbaijan in 2024, depending on their demand. He noted that Azerbaijan’s pipeline gas currently reaches 14 countries, with plans to add two more European nations this year, bringing the total to 16. This expansion would make Azerbaijan the country with the largest number of destinations for pipeline gas exports. The nation’s gas exports exceeded 25 billion cubic meters last year, with further growth anticipated.
