Azerbaijan Earmarks 42 Million Manats for Resettlement in Liberated Territories

Baku: Azerbaijan will allocate a total of 42 million manats this year for reintegration and resettlement efforts in its recently liberated territories. The Ministry of Finance announced this financial commitment, which is part of the First State Program on the Great Return aimed at helping the population adapt to new living conditions and facilitating the relocation of families into newly constructed homes.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 41.9 million manats are set aside for specific measures under this program. These measures focus on assisting the population in adjusting to their new environments and ensuring smooth relocation processes.

Additionally, the program allocates 5 million manats from the state budget to subsidize mandatory state social insurance contributions for insured individuals employed in the non-state sector within these liberated areas. This allocation explicitly excludes those working in the oil and gas industry.

Furthermore, 2 million manats are planned for financial assistance to entrepreneurs engaged in production activities within these territories. This financial support will cover 20 percent of monthly payments for essential services such as electricity, natural gas, water supply, and wastewater disposal.
