BAKU: In a move reminiscent of an auditor, the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has taken action against Nakhchivan Bank OJSC. The fund has removed the bank from the register of member banks and revoked its certificate, following the revocation of its license, Trend reports via the fund.
Based on the fund’s statement, this decision was made in accordance with Article 22.3.1 of the law “On deposit insurance.”
Earlier, by the decision of the Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan dated July 24, 2024, the license of Nakhchivan Bank was annulled based on its own application in accordance with Articles 16.1.1 and 29 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Banks” as well as the “Rules on the Reorganization of Banks.”.
The Deposit Insurance Fund, in accordance with Article 30.1 of the law “On deposit insurance,” has published the following register of participant banks to date:
